Play Basa Inc. ("Basa," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit playbasa.com (the "Site"), purchase our products, sign up for our emails, enter our tournaments or events, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Contact information — name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address.
• Order information — products purchased, order value, payment confirmation. Payment card details are submitted directly to our payment processors through Shopify Checkout; we don't store full card numbers on our servers.
• Account information — if you create an account, your username and password.
• Communications — messages you send us through forms, email, or social media, including partnership, ambassador, and support inquiries.
• Marketing preferences — the email address and any preferences you provide when you subscribe to our list.
• Event and tournament information — if you register for a basa-hosted league, tournament, or event, the registration details you submit.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

• Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL.
• Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, items added to cart, purchase activity.
• Approximate location derived from your IP address.

• Payment and platform partners — Shopify and our payment processors share order, fraud-screening, and payment-confirmation data.
• Social and advertising platforms — if you engage with our content or click our ads on platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, or Google, those platforms may share limited engagement and attribution data with us.
• Fulfillment and logistics partners — warehousing and shipping carriers share delivery-status updates.

We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure performance, and deliver relevant marketing.

• Service providers that help us operate the business — including Shopify (our e-commerce platform), Klaviyo (our email marketing platform), payment processors, fulfillment and warehousing partners, shipping carriers, customer-support tools, hosting and form providers, and analytics providers.
• Advertising and marketing partners that help us reach new players. We may share hashed contact information or use cookies and pixels for ad targeting and measurement on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google. Depending on where you live, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share" under state privacy laws — see Section 6 for how to opt out.
• Professional advisors such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers.
• Authorities when required to comply with law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.
• With your consent for any other purpose disclosed to you.

5. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at info@playbasa.com and we will delete it.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state, you may have the following rights:

• Delete — request that we delete your personal information.
• Correct — request correction of inaccurate information.
• Portability — receive your personal information in a portable format.
• Opt out of (a) the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and (b) targeted advertising.
• Limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
• Appeal our decision if we deny your request.

To exercise these rights, email info@playbasa.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before we respond. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing message, and you can opt out of certain tracking by using browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and to data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Our lawful bases for processing are: performance of a contract (e.g., to fulfill your order), our legitimate interests (e.g., to operate, secure, and improve the Services), your consent (e.g., for marketing emails or non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

"Shine the Light" (California Civil Code § 1798.83)

California residents may request once per year a list of categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Email info@playbasa.com to request this information.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order records are typically retained for at least seven (7) years for tax and accounting purposes. We delete or anonymize information when it's no longer needed.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is 100% secure, however, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@playbasa.com.

9. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from those of your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. SMS & Text Messaging

If you opt in to SMS messages from basa, message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Your mobile carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we'll notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Site.
