How
To Play

basa™ is easy to learn but HARD to master.
the magic is in the rally.

Serve
01
Serve Cross-Court

Every point starts with a serve. The server hits cross-court to the opponent diagonal from them. Serves must be hit overhand and land on the opposite side of the net.

Bump
02
Bump. Set. Spike.

Teams have up to three hits to return the ball to the other side of the net. Similar to volleyball, points are structured around a bump, set, spike motion.

No Boundaries
03
No Boundaries

Players can move freely around the perimeter of the net. There are NO BOUNDARIES. basa is a game of anticipation — constant movement and communication are key.

We're For Games
And The People
Who Play Them.

basa™ was started by four best friends — and roommates — packed tightly in a New York City apartment (yes, we share one bathroom). After moving here, we were constantly looking for excuses to get outside and stay active, but reality hit fast: $300 gym memberships, limited public facilities, and tennis or pickleball courts with three-hour wait times.

Frustrated — but not deterred — we decided to make our own fun. What started as a nagging "what if" quickly turned into an obsession: how do you build a competitive sport that can be played anywhere? In the summer of '25, we stopped talking and started building.
